Updated Guidance For Federal Contractors On Vaccine Mandate
November 4, 2021
The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force has updated its Frequently Asked Questions guidance for federal contractors and subcontractors on President Biden’s September order (Executive Order 14042), requiring federal contractors to adopt vaccine mandates.
The updated guidance clarifies that covered contractors may begin work on a covered contract or at a covered workplace while still reviewing requests for accommodations from their employees and details what the contractor should do in those circumstances. The guidance also addresses what safety protocols unvaccinated employees must follow, and what steps a covered contractor should take if an employee refuses to be vaccinated.
We encourage all federal contractors and subcontractors to review these updated FAQs. KZA attorneys are available to answer your questions or assist you with these matters.
