Update On EEO-1 Reports

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that the portal for 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 data will open on October 31, 2023. The deadline to file the 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 report is December 5, 2023.

The EEO-1 Component 1 report is a mandatory annual data collection that requires all private employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria, to submit demographic workforce data to the EEOC.

A redesigned Instruction Booklet for EEO-1 Component 1 reports is now available for employers. “The Instruction Booklet consolidates existing filer-support materials, including frequently asked questions (FAQs) and fact sheets, into a single resource for filers and provides additional information to clarify reporting requirements.”

If you have questions about EEO data reporting obligations for your workforce, please contact a KZA attorney.
