Volume: 19 | Issue: 56
September 11, 2020

Nevada’s COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force met yesterday to review the action plans of the counties flagged for having an elevated risk of COVID-19 transmission. Lander, Nye, and Lyon counties are no longer flagged as having elevated disease criteria; Churchill, Elko, Washoe, and Clark counties remain flagged, and Eureka county was newly added for elevated disease transmission.

The Task Force approved Nye County’s plan to immediately reopen all bars, pubs, taverns, breweries, distilleries and wineries under statewide mitigation and enforcement measures, which include face coverings for employees and customers and a 50% capacity limit. The Task Force also approved Washoe County’s plan to reopen bars with specific restrictions and increased enforcement measures by no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 16.

More information can be found in yesterday’s press release; additionally, you can access some of the action plans as well as reports by NV OSHA, the Nevada Hospital Association, and the Nevada Department of Emergency Management by visiting the Task Force’s web page and looking at the September 10 materials listed under “Meeting Agendas and Supporting Documents.”
