Reopening Resources
Volume: 19 | Issue: 27
May 20, 2020
As employers continue to navigate Phase 1 of Nevada’s reopening, a variety of resources are available to help. In addition to the resources discussed in Issue 26 of the KZA Employer Reports, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has issued “decision tools” to help employers determine when and how to reopen. The tools are geared toward general workplaces, as well as restaurants and bars, schools, youth programs and camps, mass transit providers, and child-care. Additionally, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued an “Exercise Starter Kit” with sample documents businesses can use to conduct planning workshops to navigate returning to full operation. The Exercise Starter Kit includes a sample facilitator guide and conduct slides that are designed to be adapted and customized for an employer’s particular needs.
Finally, the Nevada Gaming Control Board has announced that it will hold “an informational workshop whereby state and local health and safety officers and other interested parties will provide an update regarding COVID-19 response measures at Resort Hotels as defined by NRS 463.01865, and other gaming related matters.” The workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
