OSHA To Require Large Employers To Mandate Vaccination

Volume: 20 | Issue: 59
September 9, 2021

President Biden announced today that the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is developing an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to adopt a vaccination program. Such employers must mandate vaccination or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work.

Once the ETS is released, we will notify you of additional details.

President Biden also announced an Executive Order that requires all federal contractors to adopt vaccine mandates for their workers. In addition to a variety of other measures, he called upon entertainment venues to require vaccinations or negative test results for entry into events.

We will keep you updated as additional information on these developments becomes available.
