NV DPBH Issues Technical Bulletin On Discontinuing COVID-19 Isolation

Volume: 19 | Issue: 70
November 23, 2020

On November 19, 2020, the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services issued a Technical Bulletin regarding when to end self-isolation for COVID-19 patients who were not hospitalized. This information is not new and was published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in July 2020. Nevertheless, the Bulletin provides a helpful refresher and summary of the CDC’s guidance on using a symptom-based strategy (instead of a test-based strategy) for determining when it is safe to return certain persons with COVID-19 to work.
