New Labor Commissioner Appointed

The Nevada Department of Business and Industry has announced that attorney Brett Harris has been appointed as Nevada’s new Labor Commissioner. The Labor Commissioner oversees the agency responsible for enforcing Nevada’s wage and hour laws, as well as laws regarding the employment of minors and prevailing wage.

Ms. Harris most recently served on the Government Employee-Management Relations Board (EMRB). She grew up in Nevada and received her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
