Nevada Gaming Control Issues Clarifying Instructions
May 6, 2021
On May 4, the Nevada Gaming Control Board issued a new notice to provide clarifying instructions for gaming licensees on COVID-19 mitigation measures.
The new notice repeats much of the information provided in the April 26 notice as to the transition of COVID-19 measures to local control. It mentions the Governor’s May 3 change to the statewide mask mandate and reminds licensees that this “statewide mandate cannot be relaxed by a county’s Local Plan.”
The new notice also clarifies that Gaming Control’s COVID-19 mitigation measures do not change the COVID-19 requirements imposed upon public accommodation facilities by Nevada Revised Statutes 447.300-447.355 (from Senate Bill 4).
