Governor Adjusts Large Gathering Rules To Address Children

Governor Sisolak has signed a new Emergency Directive to adjust the large gathering COVID-19 mitigation rules, allowing event operators the flexibility to admit attendees under the age of 12 regardless of their vaccination status. Directive 51 amends Directive 50 to specify that event operators may grant access to children 11 and under who are not vaccinated. However, these attendees, age 2 and over, must wear a face covering during the event “regardless of whether they would otherwise be exempt from the face covering requirement due to age.”

A new Guidance has also been released to explain the large gathering rules in more detail.
