Alert – OSHA Vaccine Rule Sent To White House

Volume: 20 | Issue: 63
October 13, 2021

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has finalized its Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) implementing President Biden’s vaccine mandate for larger employers and has submitted the ETS to the White House’s regulatory office for approval. We expect that the rule will now be quickly finalized and could be published as early as this week.

Businesses have been hard at work since President’s September 9 order requiring all employers with 100 or more employees to adopt a vaccination program that requires vaccination or weekly testing for all workers. But the lack of a specific rule accompanying the President’s order has made it challenging to plan and prepare.

KZA attorneys are available to assist you with these preparations. Once the ETS is issued, we will notify you of its specifics and continue to offer our assistance as you move forward to comply with the rule.
