Alert – NV Division Of Industrial Relations Addresses COVID-19 Reopening Plans

Volume: 19 | Issue: 24
May 11, 2020

The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations has directed every business to begin considering how it will reopen under the Governor’s Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery plan. To that end, it has taken the position that a COVID-19 reopening action plan should be incorporated into the employer’s Written Safety Program (an existing requirement for all businesses with more than 10 employees pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 618.383 and Nevada Administrative Code 618.538). The Division has also set forth elements that should be included in each employer’s reopening plan.

The Division’s Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) is offering free technical assistance with reopening plan development. If you are interested in such support, contact SCATS via telephone at 702-486‐9140 (Southern Nevada), 775-688‐3730 (Northern Nevada), 775-778‐3312 (Elko), or via the web at https://www.4safenv.state.nv.us/contact-us.
