2 Weeks Until KZA’s Lunch With A Lawyer With A Special Guest!
June 13, 2023
Topic: Top State Wage and Hour Compliance Challenges for Nevada Employers
Date: June 27, 2023
Time: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
There are only two weeks left until Kamer Zucker Abbott’s next Lunch with a Lawyer program with special guest speaker Nevada Labor Commissioner Brett Harris!
KZA partner Eddie Keller will host an interactive discussion with Commissioner Harris concerning important compliance issues Nevada employers frequently confront in the wage and hour arena. Topics will include: employee misclassification/independent contractor status; procedures for the recovery of wage overpayments, wage deduction authorizations, daily overtime and application of the 24 consecutive hour workday definition; paid leave requirements and exemptions; employers’ domestic violence leave obligations; and an update on labor and employment issues addressed by the 2023 Nevada Legislature.
The Office of the Labor Commissioner is the principal wage and hour and labor regulatory agency for the State of Nevada. It investigates complaints of non-payment of wages, state minimum wage, overtime, prevailing wage disputes, along with numerous other labor and employment practice laws.
The Lunch with a Lawyer program will be offered via Zoom with opportunities for participant questions. This program is approved for SHRM and Nevada CLE general credit.
As always, this program is complimentary to all current clients and is offered for the cost of $49.00 to non-clients. You can register by clicking here.
We look forward to you joining us!
