Alert – NLRB Again Extends Time For Public Comments On Ambush Election Rules

As we wrote in December, the National Labor Relations Board is considering changing or even rescinding the highly controversial “ambush election rules” that significantly shortened the time period between the filing of a union election petition and the election itself. The NLRB has requested public comment on whether the election rules should be retained or changed. The Board has recently announced that it is again extending the deadline for receipt of public comments to April 18, 2018.
