NV Labor Commissioner Updates Required Posting
January 30, 2025
The Nevada Labor Commissioner has updated its Rules to Be Observed by Employers Posting. The new posting, dated January 16, 2025, makes changes to the minimum wage rules and adds the domestic violence/sexual assault leave law.
As of July 1, 2024, Nevada’s minimum wage law no longer uses two tiers tied to whether an employer provides health benefits. The minimum wage in Nevada is now $12.00 an hour for all employees. The Rules to Be Observed by Employers Posting has been updated to reflect this change in the law.
The posting also now includes the text of Nevada’s domestic violence leave law, enacted in 2017. Please note that the new poster uses the text of the 2017 domestic violence leave law instead of the current text of that law which was amended in 2023 to include sexual assault.
