On March 5, 2021, Governor Sisolak issued Emergency Directive 40 which makes immediate changes to COVID-19 mitigation measures for live entertainment and performances at public gatherings or events of any size.

Based upon new recommendations from the State Epidemiologist and public health advisors, Directive 40 reduces the 25-foot distance requirement between performers and audience members to at least 12 feet if performers are unmasked (even temporarily) and at least 6 feet if performers wear a face covering at all times throughout the performance. Public health advisors also strongly urge performers to participate in regular COVID-19 testing.

The Nevada Guidance For Safe Gatherings has been updated to reflect this change which becomes effective immediately.
